Farleigh Hospice is a high performing organisation providing specialist palliative and end of life care for people with life limiting illness in the Mid Essex region. Our team at Farleigh has grown and evolved to meet the changings needs of the community we serve and we are looking for highly motivated Assistant Manager to join our Retail team on a part time basis of 15 hours per week. The salary advertised will be adjusted to a pro-rata basis.

We are looking for a dynamic retail assistant manager to work in our Heybridge Store.  

 

  • You will be an experienced manager with at least 2 years Supervisory experience. 
  • You will be highly motivated, strong leadership skills, adaptable and organise your time & people effectively. Able to respond quickly to a fast changing environment.  
  • You will also need to have a creative & enthusiastic approach that enables you to maximise the potential of sales within your store. Capitalising on local opportunities.  

 

You will be supporting the store manager & deputising in their absence, may be required to cover other locations in the Mid Essex Area as & when the business requires. As you may be required to cover other location driving would be an advantage. 

 

 

You will have: 

  • Significant leadership qualities & experience 

  • Ability to build, maintain & develop a team alongside shop manager 

  • Strong drive to achieve results and a can do attitude.  

  • Ability to delegate, coach & listen. 

  • Commercial awareness 

  • Enjoys working with people and has a friendly approachable manner. 

  • IT, Literacy & numerous skills 

  • Ability to establish & maintain successful retail processes & merchandising. 

  • Manage time under conflicting priorities.
